Did your computer fail to open a GBC file? We explain what GBC files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your GBC files.
Gbc Files
Files that contain the .gbc file extension usually store ROM images of video games that were developed for use with the Nintendo Game Boy Color portable gaming device. The original Game Boy device, which was released in 1989, was only able to display black and white images. Nintendo then released the Game Boy Color device in 1998.
Files containing the .gbc file extension store an exact duplicate of the game data that was contained on a Game Boy Color game cartridge. This GBC file allows the Game Boy Color game to be played on a Mac or PC. The PC must have the proper emulation software installed before the GBC file can be played on the computer.
These apps are known to open certain types of GBC files. Since many different programs may use GBC files for different purposes, you may need to try a few of the apps to open your specific GBC file.
